The Montgomery County (PA) Links has been proud to initiate and partner with the Reston Chapter of The Links to adopt and nurture the Mt. Zion All Age School in Jamaica. This school provides quality education to dozens of children, some of whom are orphans without substantial adult support. We have provided educational supplies, food and nutritional support, clothes, sports equipment and other support to help these young students achieve the best education possible given their financial circumstances.
Since our involvement, test scores are up, average daily attendance has improved, and the children are receiving more nutritious meals while at school. We’re proud of the results, so far, and continue to explore new ways to assist these hopeful children.
